Alan Wake’s spiraling metafictional detours are the stuff of legend, the scaffolding for its story about narrative, creativity, and ultimately art. Take for instance Night Springs, a black-and-white anthology series all about the edge of supernatural reality. Each episode is its own standalone story, but taken as a whole the show runs parallel to Alan Wake’s journey.
