In honor of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Nintendo wanted to do something special for fans. Luckily, we’re fans ourselves, so we spared no detail to create a real-life, fully operational replica of Luigi’s ghost-sucking contraption, the “Poltergust 5000.” Crafted in collaboration with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, this is a replica like no other: hand-sculpted, meticulously assembled, and simply a joy to strap on your back. But really, there’s only one man who deserves to wear the Poltergust, so we flew Luigi in from the Mushroom Kingdom to shoot a commercial spot with us – which was an incredible fun day for everyone at iam8bit. Over one million views (and counting) have resulted in tremendous fanfare from the community, and we’re still fielding emails from parents asking to buy one for their child’s birthday (“It would make their year! I’ll pay anything!”). Sadly, it’s a one-of-a-kind.
