When Twisted Metal first revved onto the scene in 1995, it defined an entire subgenre of games. The Twisted Metal brand of bodacious steel-smashing, high-octane car combat became a staple of the PlayStation’s early days, and subsequent sequels — from Black to Head On and beyond — further refined the series, while staying true to its original formula of nu-metal inspired chaos.

Music’s always been the gas that makes Twisted Metal go. Shred-filled riffs and head-banging drumbeats provided the perfect complement to racing, smashing, and blowing up cars with reckless abandon. We have endless respect for Twisted Metal’s bold soundtrack, so iam8bit has partnered with Sony Computer Interactive Entertainment America to do what we do best: Put it on wax.

Introducing the Twisted Metal Symphony 2xLP, a rip-roaring audio tour de force through the Twisted Metal games. You’ll find classic tracks from Twisted Metal (1995), Twisted Metal 2, Twisted Metal: Black, Twisted Metal: Head-On, & Twisted Metal (2012); songs like “Rooftop Battle,” “Fire Walk,” and “Deathwish,” plus other offerings from across the franchise’s storied history.

Its two discs are pressed on appropriately-gnarly Twisted Pink & Green Vinyl and are sure to look stylish as they spin on your turntable. For the album art, we worked with Paul Rentler to capture the wild spirit of Sweet Tooth and co., creating a uniformly unforgettable package.
